We all know the importance of having a good work-life balance, but are we actually achieving it? 


OnePoll, a market research firm, conducted a 2,000 person survey to find how people typically feel about their work-life balance. 


Throughout the survey, they found that almost 60% of Americans have a hard time maintaining a work-life balance. Aside from it being difficult to find their equilibrium, they also generally feel more stress in the workplace as a result of burnout and a never-ending task list.

Work and home life stress:


  • 46% say they never have time to relax
  • 33% work too hard
  • 38% work too many hours


Work pressure:


  • 1 in 7 suffer pressure from their co-workers
  • Average most stressful time of day was 1:42 PM
  • Over 25% suffer constant pressure from their boss


Hours in the day:


  • 60% say there are not enough hours in the day to complete all of their tasks
  • An extra 3 hours and 54 minutes are needed each day for the average person to complete all of their tasks


Time to relax:


  • The average workers takes 11 days off work per year
  • Out of the 11 days taken off work per year, only 5 are spent relaxing
  • 41% say it’s been 6 months or longer since they’ve felt relaxed or stress free


Top ways to spend the day relaxing:


Women:

  • Manicure
  • Pedicure
  • Massage
  • Beach
  • Spa Treatment


Men:

  • Beach
  • Video Games
  • Massage
  • Gym
  • Spa Treatment
