“I have always loved Provo, not only because I was raised here, but also because it has been home to so many impressive founders and companies.”

Kiln is thrilled to announce its newest flex-office and coworking community, coming to Provo, Utah in the Fall of 2022. In partnership with Brighton Development, the 40,000 square foot facility will be located in the new River’s Edge on University development. Kiln Provo will provide an amenity-rich, all-inclusive workspace experience for creatives, startups, and enterprise teams, and serve as a center of gravity for Provo’s bustling entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“I have always loved Provo, not only because I was raised here, but also because it has been home to so many impressive founders and companies. We couldn’t be more excited to introduce the Kiln community to all the good that this ecosystem already has to offer. We were very impressed with Brighton Development’s vision and creative plan for River’s Edge. What we are building together in Provo will be world-class, showcasing the future of flexible and experiential workspace.” says Arian Lewis, CEO of Kiln.

Provo is a dynamic and rapidly growing city in the Mountain West. The Milken Institute named Provo-Orem ‘America’s best performing city’ in economic ranking for 2021. It has a young active population, strong talent pipeline, and a dynamic entrepreneurial scene. Provo is home to hugely successful companies like Vivint, NuSkin, and Qualtrics, as well as Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University which both boast impressive entrepreneurial centers and mentorship programs.

“The days of Plumtree Plaza lying dormant as an eyesore to our community are over with the transformative development well-underway at River’s Edge on University,” says Provo Mayor Michelle Kaufusi. “Creating economic vibrancy requires the right timing and team. With both now in place, our promise to reinvent spaces for new generations to enjoy is underway. Kiln is an ideal example, with their innovative work concept not only expanding job opportunities, but re-envisioning the entire industry.”

The standalone facility will be located in the heart of Provo, near BYU’s campus, in a 28-acre ground-up mixed-use development featuring trendy restaurants and shops, as well as premium apartment units (The Lofts at River’s Edge) and townhouse style condos (The Towns at River’s Edge). As the anchor tenant of the River’s Edge development, the 40,000 square foot flex-office and coworking community will provide an exhaustive list of amenities for individuals and teams of 2-50. Membership will include access to conference rooms, podcast and video recording studio, theater space, wellness studio, bespoke food and beverage offerings and much more. “We are thrilled that Kiln has opted to come to the River’s Edge on University project, and know they will make be a strong and dynamic partner to make a vibrant mixed-use center, which will also include 416 housing units, and an additional 40,000 square feet of retail and office,” says Nate Pugsley, CEO of Brighton Development.

In addition to providing flexible workspace options, Kiln will also be able to be leveraged as a meeting room and event space venue. The Kiln team intends to host a myriad of tech and entrepreneurship programming in it’s theater space, much of which will be open to the general public.

“Kiln has done an excellent job at building a center of gravity for the tech ecosystem in Lehi, Salt Lake City, Park City, and Boulder (CO). We have no doubt that they will do the same in Provo,” says Eric Woodley, Managing Partner of Woodley Real Estate.
